Near E.F. Condition.

Disc is 1.41" Diameter.

Confirmed on the Roll by R.W. Gould on page 68, and on the list of Indian Army Officer's on page 65 giving his Christian name as John. See also Puddester "Medals of British India" Vol 2, Part III, page 387 served with the Nizam's Artillery in the Nizam's Contingent (Russell's Brigade), "On His Highness the Nizam's Army List for the Quarter commencing 1st April 1851" John Gill is listed under Ordnance Warrant Officers where he is Deputy Assistant Commissary at Aurungabad. Date of his first appointment 27 April 1817 and his rank/corps in the E.I.Co.'s Army 'B.E. 12 July 1830'. (Bengal Establishment).
