Charles Henry Stock was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire on 12 Nov. 1877 and was a carpenter by trade. He enlisted on 12th Nov. 1914 and served a short time in France before being wounded in the ankle and buttock whilst acting as a Despatch Rider ? His wounds healed quickly but he developed neurasthenia and was eventually discharged after several spells in and out of hospital on 31 Dec 1917. he died 21 March 1916.
