A fine other ranks bronzed collar badge to the 22nd Oxford Rifles (Mazeas HP.128) The Oxford Rifles were established as the 22nd Battalion Volunteer Militia Rifles of Canada, or Oxford Rifles with headquarters at Woodstock Ontario August 14th 1663.
The designation becoming the 22nd Battalion the Oxford Rifles in 1865. In WWI the regiment contributed 69 volunteers to the 1st Battalion CEF on its formation at Camp Valcartier in August 1914 and later raised the 71st and 168th Battalion.
